about

Recorded live at Camden Palace 13th February 1990.
This live recording captures the band at a crucial point in their career - they had just released the milestone album L'Esprit and were about to embark on short tours of Holland and France.
The brief 35 minute set, as one of the 'Feet First' indie nights at Camden Palace, documents an enthusiastic response from a London audience but also highlights what must have been an incredulous performance as some impatient clubbers (complete with whistles) at the height of acid house, wait for the disco to begin. Listen closely and you can hear the heckling calls of "Where's the News man?" and "Play some Rock n Roll!"
The recording also displays some relatively complex keyboard arrangements and a selection of tracks rarely played live since (Subito - Regal: Miracle of the Rose I & Elegy)
